Charlie, see the shadow on the ceiling, all my light is going down. And for a little cost I can also change the color of the lamps to daylight, bright white or mix them. I"m electrician and have installed a lot of different systems.
Hallides and sodiums are good for industrial uses not much good for seeing what you are doing because they just seem to intense. If you dont like the color you don"t have a choice.
The key in either is the reflectors. My out side lights are 150 mercury vapor, seem to last a long time. HTH Richard
