I have a rider on my home owners policy with Grange insurance that covers my buildings and tractors. In the last year I have noticed that our homeowners insurance has almost doubled(I know this because my wife sticks it in my face as soon as she gets it). We asked our agent to find a solution or we would be forced to drop his policy. He suggested insurance for a blanket amount instead of repacement cost based on an itemized contents list. Our premium is reasonable now.
