I've seen both Chev OHV and Chrysler flathead sixes in WCs and WDs. I'd like to try a 300 Ford six. It has same bore and stroke as a WD. You'd need to move radiator to forward position and get a hood from a diesel. You'd also need a belt-drive governor, such as used on a Versatile swather. For best work, you might need a special grind high torq camshaft, but that can wait. Otherwise, you could look over engines from other tractors, such as Massey, Oliver, Farmall, etc.
