John deere 60 engine freezing

I bougt a non runnin JD 60, engine would turn over this late fall, but it has now frozen, there must be some water in it. I know it is not rusted, becuase when I warm it up, it thaws and will turn but then when freezes it will not turn.
What can I put in the cylinders to keep it from frezing until I can run the engine? How about alcohol or ATF ???
