I'd agree that you need to be careful with a tedder around alfalfa. Probably shake it up the day after cutting, and then leave it alone. However, I'm not sure what distinction you would draw between a tedder and a tedder/rake. I've got a 254 NH tedder/rake, and it's for sale to the first sucker that comes along. Opps..... I didn't just say that, did I? Been down that road, got the T-Shirt, and the grease stains, and the torch burns, and the massive repair bills. Ain't going back. Now happily do my raking with a Kuhn rake, and looking for a tedder. The other devil will do the tedding till then.... Rod
