adding a front end loader

Tractor newbie here with a question about front end loaders. I've got a Ford 2810 and want

to put a front end loader on it. My uncle-in-law says not to do it. Something about wearing

out the front axel since it wasn't designed for a loader. Several questions:

1. Is my uncle-in-law full of crap? Its been known to happen.
2. Ball park cost for doing this, parts / installation.
3. Can I find a used loader? Or better just to buy a new kit?
4. Any additional comments or sage advice would be appreciated.
