Norman with 4010 PTO promlem

Norman; Sorry to take so long. Was out at the farm this morning, good new I have the operators manual. Bad news I cannot find the service/parts manuals so must have loaned them out or misplaced them. below the tractor you can see the front PTO. There is a plate right above it. That is the PTO clutch inspection plate and there are 2 lube zerks in there. I believe with that off you may be able to see back or use a mirror. one zerk is seen with PTO in nuetral, The other when the shaft is pushed forward. If The assembly does not move you will have something disconnected but if it moves the problem is elsewhere. The tractor should NOT be running when you move the lever. If you have a JD dealer nearby ask to look at the service and parts manuals. Local dealers here are helpful, hope yours is to. Email me at home again, I lost your address. [email protected] Bob
