That"s the ideal gas equation. Pressure P is obviously proportional to the temperature T.
Of course the pressure changes with temperature!
The only reasons are that they don"t want to be bothered with drying their cruddy compressed air and there are people out there prepared to pay a lot for very little! Anyhow, all my tyres have tubes in them.
For tractor tyres would be better to put in carbon dioxide as that would help some with ballast - much, much heavier than air and wouldn"t leak out even nearly as fast as air or nitrogen! Ok, Xenon would be even better!
