We looked at both Starband and Direcway when we were moving to Colorado last spring & weren't sure what sort of local service might be available. One problem with Starband is that they don't support a local network, i.e., if you want to use a router & more than one computer on the connection, you're on your own. Plus, they require software to be installed in a computer. Direcway does support local networks & does not require any software to be intstalled (beyond the normal ethernet/TCP-IP drivers). Ended up with terrestrial microwave (wireless ISP) service. Works great but does require that you have a line of sight path to a service tower.
