When we bought our John Deere 15' no till drill the dealer said we could put it with a 95 hp tractor with a drill cart. We didn't have one for a while and used it on a 3 pt hitch. Needed 2000 lbs with a full load of seed to keep the front end down. Tractor was 180 hp didn't need the engine power rather the hitch power to pick it up. Hope this helps.
