Allan, Did you or the wife work the horses before you got ready to ride them? It doesnt hurt to work them a bit to get the edge off of them. It may be a good idea to get the one that threw her into training with a good trainer to find out if it has a habit of throwing riders. A well trained horse with a well trained rider is a sight to behold but even then the rider can get busted up if the horse decides to get rid of it. Myself, I like a more mature, settled horse that will baby sit this old man but wake up when I tickle it with the spur.
