You may remember the thread of a week or two ago about air rifle recommendations for my daughters. I decided to go with the Daisy 880 as some had suggested. The reasons I selected this was that it was an economical ($60 w/ scope) rifle that had rifling in the barrel and a quick speed (about 700 fps). It should be a great learning rifle. Don't worry, I'm very meticulous when it comes to firearm safety and will teach them to be as well. I am going to persuade them to take a hunters safety course this spring as well. I had to order this rifle online as my local hunting supply stores didn't carry it, and to my surprise, neither did Cabelas. I ordered it from airgunexpress.com as suggested. Thanks again for your suggestions and help. I'll give you an update on how it is going after Christmas. Jay
