John Deere model 710- power steering

I submitted this same post a few minutes ago but I don't know if it got through? (never been on this forum before)
My son bought a Model 710 John Deere for light duty on his farm. The diesel engine runs perfectly but it steers only to the right. The left is very stiff. A valve?) We have no diagrams or manuals Can some one please help? Thanks John
