I need to know, in technical terms, what PTO (drive shaft yoke) terms 6N, 12N, 14N, 35N, 44N, & 55N mean, and the origin of the terms. I am pretty familiar with tractors, PTO's, measurements, physics, electro-mechanical devices, etc. I have calipered yokes so marked, and realize that the cross bearing diameter increases as the number gets bigger, but cannot relate the terms to anything concrete. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
