I was out of high-school seven years before starting to college. During that interval I lived and worked in more than ten states for two major rail road and three electronics, missile and armament manufactures. After getting the four year degree I have not set the world on fire career wise, in fact if I had stayed with the first job out of high-school (R.R. retirement is very good.) I would be better off financially as things turned out. Higher education provides a lot more benefits to a person than just occupational training. Learning can be pleasant and we should encourage it both in and out of school. Oh… stop me before I start pontificating.

Seeing an Old Friend - by Joe Evans. Dad had a concrete contracting business starting in 1960. One of his first pieces of equipment was a Ferguson TO-35 with a Davis loader. Dad replaced the TO-35 with a MF 202 Workbull, essentially an industrialized Ferguson 35 I am told.
