: : Recently I noticed oil leaking from around the starter on my 1952 Case VAC. Could this be the result of a defective seal between the gear box and the rear end? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

: If your VAC is anything like my VAC or VAI it can not be a leak between the gearbox and rearend.
: More likely a leaking seal at the rear of the engine. Behind the engine is the fllywheel, clutch and, depending on the type of lift, a gear case for the belt pulley/hyd oil. Being a new model VAC, yours
: may not have high pressure hyd system. Look at the bottom of the casting just behind the engine and
: see if oil is leaking out there. D.O.N.

oil in the clutch compartment is normal engine oil lubed the clutch the 930 was the last to be like this
