Here's something I really do know something about. I've spent many, many hours driving a tractor pulling a people mover at a threshing show and a band on a bundle rack in parades over a span of 15 years. First, you want good SMOOTH brakes, and you need a smooth clutch that is not too stiff, this is where the hydrostat would be real nice. People don't like to be jerked around and this is a liability thing because someone might be standing up when you take off or stop. It's nice to have a quiet tractor so you can hear someone yell. If the tractor has a cab, the back window is to be open at all times so the tractor driver can hear someone yell. You just can't be looking ahead and watching the passengers at the same time. Had a near miss once when one of the drivers had the rear window closed and couldn't hear someone yell when she wanted off so she tried getting off on-the-go and almost was run over. Having an assistant ride back there is a real plus too. Today the liability thing is real important. Joking around with the riders (clean) helps too. Jim
