That's WAY over-kill for a lawn mower. Two 55W lights combined pull 9, almost 10 amps from an already too small charging system. Most of these old lawn/garden tractors only have 15 A charging systems so by the time you run the ignition, lights, and start the engine a time or two You have a dead battery. I put little chrome backup lights that take a #67 bulb I think it is. PLENTY of light for My night yardwork. In the last two weekends I've been out doing yardwork till 1 AM, and 8 PM. PLENTY of light for after-dark hours and they're not so bright they disturb the neighbors across the field.
