International had Mahindra making quite a few of their tractor models as noted above. International built the plant with Mahindra and They had to sell their interest in the plant and tractor models when they merged with Case to avoid U.S. Monoply laws. Mahindra bought International"s interest and then continued making the tractors for International as a manufacturing contractor..By Having to buy the models from India, they avoided anti-trust laws...then they ended their association when Case International started making comparable tractors. Mahindra continued making tractors and selling them as their own models both in the US and elsewhere.
