If the fuel tank is above the engine then the fuel could make its way past a leaky valve and be dripping into the engine continualy.
After getting into the engine it could go past the rings and into the crankcase.
If it has a fuel pump, the fuel pump could be letting in the gas. The fuel pump would be driven and lubricated by an internal rotating shaft such as the cam shaft.
If the diaphram gives then the gas would be forced into the crankcase.
Them are the only two options I know of.
How much gas is getting into the oil???
