I'm reasonably computer savvy, can do the basics and write some code when needed. I tried a couple of quick books programs for a year. Bleah. It took me just as long to enter all the data as it did to set it down in a ledger book. Does make pretty reports thought. All it cost me was the software, and an extra $50 a year that my CPA charges when she does my taxes (she says that its easier for her to work from my good old ledger books). I'd rather pay her more to pay the bills and all that stuff as I would fight the software, economies of scale. Just like with software writing programs, the difference between a $500 program and a $1500 program isnt 3 times better, its light years better. Same with the accounting software they use.
