Any late IHC engine swap to other than IHC must remember that engine is a stressed frame member- there is no seperate frame that engine set into since F series. Oliver 'tub' connects rear end to front- engine nestles inside frameing an is not stressed. Oliver used different engine manufacturers- the design made sense for them. IHC, AC with their own engines or specific manufacturer used engine bolted to bellhouseing casting to get better view of cultivators, save some manufacturing time and labor, front wheels mount to front of engine. Ford 9,2,8Ns are same situation- no seperate frame, difficulty in swapping engines with different bolt patterns.
