errin...the smoke trick works.i use it some times in doe season.i'll build a small fire and use pine needles the greener the better.makes lots of smoke.the get curious about it and bang.i also carry a police whistle.if i see a bunch runnig across the field.i blow the whistle and they stop to see where its coming from..again BANG
