Best thing to do in my opinion is to take it off and sell it. If that 1.5 power scope makes or breaks your hunt you haven't practiced enough. A good set of iron sights will do fine at 150 yds. on in even with "old" eyes. If you are shooting a slug gun further than that you aren't hunting, just shooting. Just an old guy's opinion. Above all, have fun !
