First off I have never heard of a 18" 2 bottom plow being made. Just from 10" to 16" bottoms and under right conditions they will handle a 2-14" OK but a 2-12" is better and at times that is way too much. Are you sure you are measuring the plow correctly, 90* from one beam to the same spot on the next beam. I would guess that you are trying to get the size by measuring the cutting edge of the share and not the cutting width of the share. I am guessing that your 18" measurement is actually a 14" bottom and if you are in average ground a 2-12" is all you want for that tractor. For a 9N it would be a 39-42 tractor, I have a 2N built 42-47) that Dad bought new in May of 44 (exactly same tractor as a 9N in engine and transmission) and when the dealer delievered it he brought out a 2-14" plow and after 2 rounds he took that plow back and brough out what he should have in the first place a 2-12" and I still have that same tractor and plow.

The need for fabricating becomes obvious when you go to buy any of these
