I'm guessing you're using a rifled slug for deer hunting with this shotgun. If it were me, I'd go to the range and set a target at 20 yards and, hold the cross hairs on the bull and fire a load. Since all bullets cross the line of sight twice,the first time between 20 to 25 yards, you should should be able to zero it at the close distance. Then set a target out where you think you want to zero it and you'll have a good chance of being on the paper when you fire at the further target. If you try to fire first at the further target and you are really off, you may not even hit the paper so you won't know how to adjust. Hope this helps you.
