I lucked out. All of our deployments took me there when the weather was relatively good. First 9 days of first deployment were the worst, 30 knots, rain and about 40 degrees all day every day. Then it cleared up & we had light winds & mid 50's the rest of the trip. Later deployments were always in May, June or July & weather wasn't bad. One year, however, some of our guys went earlier than me & were confined to quarters for 4 or 5 days due to a blizzard.
