1950 has a 4 cylinder detroit diesel engine. 1950-t has a 6 cylinder turbocharched waukesha 310. The 1950 had the 2 speed hydra power, and I think the 1950-t had the option of the 3 speed over-under. The 310 engines had some problems, but if i had my pick i would take a 1950-t with over-under. Josh
