Around here in Western PA. some really smart folks decided if snow fences were good at keeping drifting snow off the hiways, it ought to be great for their driveways, which went down below ground level to the garage doors!
So, several guys installed the fence directly to the windward side of their driveways, up wind, that is! the first heavy snow fall showed them the error of their ways! The snow filled their driveways up level with the rest of the lawns!
