I bought and used one of these many years ago. At the time I bought it, I paid somewhere between $100.00 and $200.00 for it which I thought was fairly inexpensive however when you add the price of the truck needed to power it, I guess it is a little more expensive than a regular log splitter. Once I learned how to use it properly, I was very satisfied with it. Split somewhere between 20 and 25 cords of wood and never had a problem. It handled everything I threw at it including pieces up to 24" in diameter. Haven't used it in years as I got tired of the work and dirt that burning wood brings with it.
