Wellllllll, they were supposed to destroy the Firestones, but a recycler here was charged with reselling them to trailer manufacturers to put on trailers. He got some jail time for it, so I hear. He'd have employees visually inspect incoming tires, and if they looked OK, they'd go into a semi trailer for shipment. Now, bear in mind that these were the tires he got from reatil dealers, and they keep the best takeoffs for resale. So they had already been picked over and rejected once, and now they were going to have them on trailers? Are you scared? You should be!
