For what it is worth, I love the old tractors but I am a weekend warrior and I was spending Saturdays getting my old tractors to run so I could work all day on Sundays. Bummer!?!?!?! I finally bought a Kubota 3830. I highly recommend it. It starts right up, it runs on diesel, the front loader is a 7200 series with a 72" bucket, the rear hydraulics are strong and the tractor has all of the power I could ever use for my small operation. I use a post hole digger, a box scraper, I pull double hay wagons on rough ground, and I have used the 6' bushog with no problems. I have seen them used in the $12000 range. Maybe you can do better if you watch. I was also impressed with the Kuyote, but everything was fiberglass. I was afraid I would get into a branch and shatter a fender. When I researched all of the tractors, I decided on the Kubota. All of the other compact tractors were also made overseas including John Deere, Massey Ferguson, Case, New Holland, etc. I am not aware of any tractor that is manufactured in the states anymore. Some are assembled in the US but they are using foreign parts. Now I just use my Allis Chalmers for scraping, plowing and bailing and my old Feguson for mowing. They are great and I still appreciate the sound of a gas engine bawling on a hard pull, but the Kubota is old faithful. It has not let me down yet. I guess I will get some grief on here for buying a foreign tractor, but when it is time to work I do not want to spend all of my weekend working on tractors. Good luck.
