Location of 320/420 block number?

I have been looking over my 420U to find the block number so that I know where to look when I try to find the block number on the 320S with the missing tag. The only number I see that I think is the block number is the large number that has a star stamped above it. The number is just below the oil dipstick, is this the block number and would these be the same on the 320 standard? Please help with the location, thanks!
