Value of JD tractor with a replacement serial tag?

I am looking into purchasing a 320 standard tractor that is missing a serial tag. I understand that I can get the block number off the tractor and can give it to John Deere to find the original serial number and can get a tag issued. My questions are where do I submit the block number to find out the serial number, how long does it take to get a response, and how much in value does a tractor drop when it has a replacement tag issued by John Deere? 320s are a rare tractor so I dont mind having the replacement tag on it but I am just wondering how much it would actually drop the value? Thanks for any comments and help, it is greatly appreciated!
