Here in Crane County Texas any farm trailer less than 37,000 GVW is $5.30. I was ready to do the hoop dance when I bought the used double axle stock trailer and the owner kept the plates. Nay,nay said the nice tax ladies."$5.30 please and here are your plates". I owe them some flowers..... BTW, if your over 65 your tax bill in the county is "0". They figure you've payed enough. Guess why I like it here!,hehehehehehehe.
