Get a set of those plastic noise makers that emit a sound we can"t hear but scare off most animales. I live in heavy deer country and since I have been using them no deer has stood around long enough for my vehicle to get close to even at night. I was sold on them by a friend who had nailed two deer on his motor cycle and was almost killed. They work and only cost about six bucks at jc whitney or auto parts stores.
