I have both the IT shop manual and the John
Deere manual for the 420 c.The JD manual
SM2019 purchased from the local JD dealer
eight years ago for $56.00 is in my opinion
head and shoulders above the IT book.One
of the best sources of info is the parts manual,
especially if you are buying used parts.
