I know what you mean about the doggon air in the gun. A year or so ago I broke down and bought a Lincoln Battery operated grease gun. And I must say this is one of the best things ever invented. How did I get along without it all these years. For some reason it does not have hardly any air problem just hold the trigger down and let it pump a few times until the grease comes out which is usually quite soon. Now and then you have to stroke the rod a couple of times to help it along but not very often. I grease my heavy equipment and it seems like the main pin on the track hoes wants to take a whole cartridge if I let it. So I use quite a few cartriges. Cat Blade 48
