Caterpillar does not make, build or manufacture agricultural tractors. In the few short years since 2002, when AGCO Corporation acquired the Challenger line of track tractors from Caterpillar, the Challenger brand has grown into a full line of serious farm machinery. Today, in addition to track tractors from 225 to 570 hp, the Challenger brand covers a full line of wheel tractors from 23 to 240 PTO hp, a high-quality family of hay equipment, and two of the most reliable and productive combines on the market.
