I have an 801 with sherman 3 speed. I was driveing it to a friends place and my wife was behind me in a car. I asked her how fast I got it up to and she said a little over 35MPH and if the steering had been better I probably could have gotten 40 plus out of it. Steering is where the probelm is with a tractor and speed
