Looks like a new post hole auger behind your tractor. I can remember going to a consignment auction and coming home with a used 8 in. 3 pt. auger, just to make our lives easier. That darn thing wouldn't dig through a piece of foam rubber. We made a long pry bar to help it dig, not much luck. Then we borrowed a neighbors JD 3 pt auger and it was a 10 in.(who ever makes them for JD??) and it went right down, in fact we had to hold it back. Now I use my sons hyd. auger on a Bobcat. Not all augers are built the same, that's for sure. Been busy picking ear corn and need to get things wrapped up before the snow flies in southern Mn. just as you do in Neb. Good luck.
