Kimbro, NO not IMO. A 4010 is a 80hp tractor and at 10K that is tooooo much. you can find other tractors that will do a much better job that a 4010. First a 4010 has the same light a$$ front end as a 4020. Unless it has been swapped out for a heavier one from a 30 series tractor then there is your weak link to look at or expect problems later. especially if you plan on doing a ton of loader work.
UNLESS you are just bent on a 4020. There are others in the 20 series that are seriously overlooked ie 4520 or 4620 slightly higher HP with a sureenough heavier front axle for loader work. If you locate one with a PS tranny all the more better.
go up one series ....a 4230 will fill your bill quite nicely.
My cousin traded for one 2 summers ago gave $9500 for necked tractor with front suitcase wts.and 2 rear wt on each rear corner. Then had a paint job put on it....added a koyker loader and delivered here from over 400 miles, all for $15000K
Hope this helps. there are better bargains out there. If I was tradeing for a 4010 and it was in the 10K area,..... it better have a newer front end and be overhauled and turboed too. That just me.
Later,
John A.

Today's Featured Article - Memories of an IH Super A When I was ? up to 10, I worked on my Papaw's farm in Greeneville, TN every summer. As I grew older (7), it was the thrill of my day to ride or drive on the tractor. My Papaw had a 1954 IH Super A that he bought to replace a Cub. My Papaw raised "baccer" (tobacco) and corn with the Super A, but the fondest memory was of the sawmill. He owned a small sawmill for sawing "baccer" sticks. The Super A was the powerplant. When I was old enough (7 or 8), I would get up early and be dressed to ... [Read Article]
