SO - It IS about money! And if your son would have gotten a vehicle that cost less, had more depreciation, and less insurance value (replacement), then his premiums and payments would have been lower and we wouldn't have this thread. We all know the insurance business is out of control (like oil, banking, tution, etc, etc.). All I'm saying is a little forthought would have saved you lots of cash.
