Hate to put it to you guys this way, but most likely this is how it's going to be.(basically the industry is saying that if you want a clean environment, you will have to pay for it) These prices are paying for the preperation for the 2007 ultra low sulfur diesel regulations. I've read several diesel industry magazines that tell on and off highway folks to prepare for $4/gallon diesel. I contemplated buying a new diesel pickup this year, but when you math it out, it will be significantly cheaper to drive a hemi powered truck vs. the Cummins just from the fuel cost aspect.
