The "town" I live in has 5 residents. 4 in my house. However, in it's day, it was quite the bustling community and the biggest town in the county. That house was one of the fanciest houses in town. French doors, maids quarters, etc. - was owned by a business man that owned the grocery store. His children moved on, he died. Children didn't want to sell it or rent it until it was bad, then eventually they sold it to people that could afford a run down place. It didn't get any better. It's been about 30 years since anyone has lived there. The snow we got 4 or 5 days ago in the worst storm I've ever seen this early. We ended up with 15 to 20 inches. I had banks in my one yard over 4 feet deep. On the flat the snow is gone, but it remains in the ditches and treelines. It only got to about +30 that day. It's been 45-50 since, just a lot of white to melt. And that's the beauty of quack grass, it takes more than a little cold, or a little flood, or a little drought to stop it from being green.
