35,000,000 people X $1,000,000 each is $35 Trillion. Give them another $1,000,000 each and you are up to $70 Trillion. Adjust that for inflation from 1964 to 2005 and you are up well over $100 Trillion. The 9 Trillion spent seems to be a bargain comparatively. I don't know where you got 1/2 a billion number from. You couldn't give 35,000,000 people $15 each for 1/2 billion dollars. FWIW, Nathan
