Batman.........12v alternators typically used in 12v conversions DEMAND NEGATIVE ground. Its a technical thing with solid state voltage regulator and diode rectifiers. Iff'n it ain't broke, don't fixxitt.

But to answer your other part of the question, yes both the OEM 4-cylinder engine and the flathead 6-cylinder engine used in the Funk conversion were 6-volt positive ground.........Dell, a 12v advocate for the right reasons
