If your main concern is something light and quiet, it might behoove you to buy a low-price Chinese clone. The Chinese are making most of the high-end generators for Honda et. al. (but to Honda specs, of course) and have gotten smart and started making knock-offs. I recently bought a 1200 watt four-stroke overhead valve generator, and it is JUST as quiet as a Honda. They sell for $199. For that price you can buy two or three when compared to a Honda. One souce is at Ebay at: http://stores.ebay.com/Tools-Wholesaler_W0QQssPageNameZviQ3asibQ3astoreviewQQtZkm On the subject of inverter generators. The main idea is that they supply full-sinewave power, whereas most other generators don't. For your purposes, i.e. camping or running small tools, it should make little difference to you whether you have full sine-wave power or modified sine-wave power. The difference mainly shows up when trying to use the AC power to run a battery charger. Honda, Yamaha, and Coleman have inverter generators. They are very expensive. I had a Coleman inverter 1000 watt unit that came out before Honda or Yamaha had one, it was an absolute piece of junk. Nice idea, though. It would idle down very low and only rev up when power was needed - but crapped out after only being used a dozen times. I contacted Coleman, and they have NO parts for it and NO tech information. I couldn't even get a schematic for it. I used to like Coleman stuff -but no more. They suck!

Nevertheless, the heat didn't keep vendors and visitors alike from enjoying the third annual Country Day's Event. Jane Elliott said the event was originally a one man show. "Barry Seiler, owner of Country Town Farm Supply store used to invite people up to the Johne Deere store. He would give hats and a free meal for everyone that brings a tractor." Elliott said while this
