Sounds like you want to do some purty HD work with that MC. The final drives were the weak points on the MC. The replacement housings had ribs cast in to add stregnth. If these havn't been replaced you will be constantly replacing bearings etc. The bearings required a pre-load to make up for flexing in the case. I had one about 50 years ago. 5 grand is too much no matter how much he has in it. Ed
