If this unit has 2 seperate carbs, you need to synchronize these two carbs, other wise one is always trying to either speed up or slow down the other. Used to have to do that on mutli cylinder/ multi carbs on motorcycles back in the 70's and I am sure that has to be done on these today. Been so long I cannot remember how we used to do it though, I think with some kind of a vacumn gauge.
